Mellissa Tong is an award-winning film and video director/producer, business storyteller, three-time Amazon bestselling author, and international speaker. In 2000, she founded DuckPunk Productions, Inc., a creative marketing and content production company, boosting sales up to 400% for her clients and winning awards such as Clio, ADDY, Telly, and a dozen more from film festivals across the country. She has over 25 years of experience both in front of and behind the camera. Her work includes branding and marketing, customer communications, television commercials, and branded content for some Fortune 500 companies including Nissan, Verizon, and Wells Fargo, to name a few. She earned her bachelor’s degree in her hometown of Hong Kong and a Master of Fine Arts at California Institute of the Arts after moving to the United States in 1991. Mellissa began her career as a news anchor/reporter/producer at the International Channel in Los Angeles. While on the job, she interviewed thousands of people from all walks of life and covered over 1,200 stories, laying a very solid foundation for her as a storyteller. Her mantra is a quote by Pablo Picasso, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
